In 2003, while holed up in a London hotel wide awake from jetlag, I stumbled upon a CNN piece about the barrage of great alternative bands coming out of Sweden. The Cardigans, The Hives, Division of Laura Lee, Kent, and most importantly: Sahara Hotnights and The Sounds. Of the shows I'm planning on catching in the upcoming months, none sound quite as fun as a night with Maja Ivarsson & co.
