Mas Eisley

Eisley -- Brightly Wound
Eisley -- Golly Sandra
Eisley -- Plenty Of Paper
Eisley -- My Lovely
Eisley are fellow Texans and deserve to be heard. If this band can't make it on the radio, we're all doomed.

Summer is coming...

Charlotte Hatherley -- Rescue Plan
Charlotte Hatherley -- Summer
Charlotte Hatherley -- Bastardo
Charlotte Hatherley -- Grey Will Fade
My find of the year so far. Charlotte Hatherley is a one-woman version of the Foo Fighters... which I guess makes her the female Dave Grohl.

In lieu of actually posting something that requires coherent thought, I've taken the easy way out and turned to audioblogging for the time being. I'm so mod!

Eux Autres Day!

Eux Autres -- Ecoutez Bien
Eux Autres -- Other Girls
Eux Autres -- The Sundance Kid
Eux Autres -- Partick Nil
The sister plays drums. The brother plays guitar. Both sing. The White Stripes, you say? Nah, these siblings were never rumored to be married (I don't think). Eux Autres' debut album of charming pop music was co-produced by Janet Weiss of Sleater-Kinney, whose own album, The Woods, is a little slice of noisy rock heaven.

Neko Neko's

The Delgados -- Coming In From The Cold
My pick for song of the year even though it was released in 2002. I don't know much about The Delgados, but I think that's a good thing. Such mystery...

Neko Case -- If You Knew
Alt-country at it's finest. Ms. Case owns one of the fiercest voices in the known universe and moonlights as a New Pornographer.
